The biggest source of pollution in your home may be an air purifier!

The biggest source of pollution in your home may be an air purifier!

Central heating in the north began in succession, and major cities ushered in a new round of smog. “Going out to wear a mask to filter, to open the machine to clean up” has become the standard of urban life.

But the market is full of purification equipment, the effect is as good as it is?

“Big card” is not reliable

In 2016, the Beijing Consumers Association conducted a sample survey of online shopping air purifiers. Among the 50 brands, 11 brands had safety hazards during use, and the performance of 15 brand products did not meet the requirements of the new national standard. The brand accounts for more than half of the total sample.

According to the survey, the more popular brands that the public is more inclined to trust, the greater the problems such as Philips, Brutal, and Sharp, such as virtual standard performance and data fraud.

“protective umbrella” turned into a source of pollution

Blindly relying on big names is a big misunderstanding of consumers. Another misunderstanding is that air purifiers are a once-and-for-all thing.

Many brands in the market are claiming that their products have a larger CADR value (air circulation capacity). In fact, when testing CADR values, long-term effectiveness is not considered. Most purifiers use the activated carbon filter to absorb the pollutants such as pm2.5 and formaldehyde. The non-selective, water vapor, perfume, and other substances are also adsorbed. The filter is easily saturated and the service life is 1 week~ 3 months’ time.

The saturated filter has a formaldehyde removal capacity of 0. As the air flows, the formaldehyde is easily desorbed, forming a new source of pollution. Therefore, most products on the market are not effective enough to deal with formaldehyde for a long time, which is why few manufacturers dare to install formaldehyde monitoring digital display.

How to buy a reliable air purifier?

Consider the following 5 points
1. Filter purification capacity:
General purifiers have multi-layer filters for filtering different contaminants. Try to choose a purifier with a large amount of filter material. Under the conditions, understand whether the raw material quality and production process of each layer of the filter is advanced, and ensure the purification rate is above 98%.

2. Filter life:
As the use time increases, the purification capacity of the filter will decrease with the increase of deposits, and if it is not replaced in time, it will become the largest pollution source in the room. The filter and the complicated replacement process of hundreds of yuan have caused consumers to commit “delayed disease” again and again. In order not to worry about yourself, choose a filter that lasts for more than one year!

3. Air circulation capacity:
That is the CADR value we mentioned earlier, of course, the higher the better. Although it can not fully represent the purification ability, it is also the embodiment of the cycle efficiency. Generally, the family chooses a CADR value of 300 or more.

4. Whether to display in real-time:
The real-time digital display makes the air quality more intuitive. Consumers can also judge whether the purifier is effective or not and whether the filter needs to be replaced.

5. Is it silent:
The purifier should complete his work silently in the corner, which is also the basic quality of white electricity.

If you are interested, the Internet is probably a search. Most of the purifiers that meet the above conditions are more than 5,000 yuan, and today I recommend this air purification artifact – Olansi air purifier, the crowdfunding price is only 1999 yuan.
Olansi Air Purifier is funded by China’s established listed company Baoan Group. Baoan Group has been committed to controlling automobile exhaust, industrial waste gas, and domestic air pollutants for many years. The products are exported to Europe, America, and the Middle East.

I didn’t understand that the company that is unique in the industrial field, why should we continue to develop life products, the product owner said:

“The Chinese people generally trust foreign brands, but their air purifiers are mainly in addition to local pollen. The ability to remove formaldehyde and pm2.5 is not strong. The products of Europeans and Americans are not changed and sold to Chinese people. It is always inappropriate.”

Can you use the most cutting-edge technology to make a purifier that truly solves the problem of indoor air in China?

Multiple composite filters filter out multiple contaminants
Purification rate up to 99.99%

Mr. O’s air purifier uses a three-stage high-precision filter. The first-effect filter is imported from Taiwan, with high-density nylon mesh material and a well-developed pore structure. It filters 5mm dust particles and hair fluffy substances in the air.

The core filter is designed with a platinum titanium catalyst filter + nano-ceramic plate. Under the action of platinum-titanium catalyst, formaldehyde is efficiently decomposed into carbon dioxide and water, and harmful substances such as benzene and nicotine are filtered out. The service life of the filter is 3 to 5 years.

At the last stage, the US imported a HEPA filter. The glue line, peak fold and folding distance on the surface of the filter are reasonable, and the adsorption area is 3 times larger than the conventional filter. More than 80 kinds of pollutants such as pm2.5, bacteria, virus, fungal spore pollen, and asbestos metamorphic products suspended in the air were filtered, and the filtration rate was 99.99%.

350 m3/h particulate matter CADR
Guarantee 5 hours of indoor air purification for 1 hour

The Olansi air purifier adopts a circular air guiding ring air inlet, a side air inlet, and a top three-dimensional circulation design, and the airflow is large. After starting up, it produces a high concentration of negative oxygen ions (about 10 million / m3), mixing clean air, and can also embrace the mountain wind at home, regulate the nerves, and eliminate fatigue.
Japan Shenrong Import Sensor
Intelligent digital display air quality is visible in real-time

The accuracy of the sensor also determines the filtering effect. Mr. O’s air purifier adopts a Japanese Shenrong imported laser sensor to detect changes in external air pollution faster and start cleaning air earlier. Although the application cost is high, the detected data is more reliable.

In terms of the display screen, the Olansi air purifier is the first to be equipped with a professional formaldehyde monitor. The PM2.5 and formaldehyde content values are displayed independently, and the air quality is comprehensively evaluated, which is not possible with other purifiers.

Sleep mode noise is 28 decibels, and daily power consumption is about 1 degree.

On the core components, the Olansi air purifier adopts a DC low-resistance fan, and the circular air guide ring of the air inlet and outlet is designed to be operated with less low noise and low noise. Only clean air and subtle wind sound accompany you to sleep.

Can infants use air purifiers?

Can infants use air purifiers?

Infants can use air purifiers, which should be used when the air quality is not good, to reduce indoor air pollution.

The air purifier itself has no negative impact on the health of the baby, but if the air purifier is not used, the baby may be exposed to air pollution, which may have a serious impact on the baby’s health.

A year ago, UNICEF published a report stating that air pollution can affect the brain development of infants and cause brain damage. Air pollution can also cause pneumonia and other diseases in children under one year of age and is one of the causes of infant death.

In the past few decades, Europe and the United States have conducted a number of studies on air pollution and infant health and concluded that air pollution affects infant health. However, the air pollution situation they studied is inconspicuous compared with the air pollution situation in many parts of Asia, including most parts of China. The serious air pollution in Asia has a serious impact on infant health. Further research data is needed.

In recent years, smog in China has been very serious, and its impact on the health of infants is undeniable. In this case, efforts should be made to reduce the impact of air pollution on themselves and their families. The use of air purification equipment is one of the methods. Family, be sure to do a good job of air purification, not to be taken lightly.

Resist air pollution and lung disease in the summer. Don’t be afraid! Air purifier

Resist air pollution and lung disease in the summer. Don’t be afraid! Air purifier

At the end of 2018, the World Health Organization (WHO) organized the first global conference on air pollution and health specifically for the growing problem of air pollution. Under the dome, air pollution has become one of the major causes of death in the world. It is estimated that 29% of global lung cancer, 24% stroke, 25% of heart disease and 43% of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients are caused by air pollution. Due to air pollution, health may be compromised even if you do not smoke.

Air pollution should be seriously faced
In recent years, as the number of smokers has decreased, the lung diseases caused by cigarettes have gradually declined, but they have continued to rise due to the deterioration of air pollution. In particular, some malignant lung diseases are difficult to detect, and most of them are late.
The PM2.5 in air pollution is small in size and can penetrate the alveoli into the blood circulation, which may cause harm to the whole body’s health. When it enters the lungs, it may cause inflammation and obstruction of the respiratory tract. After entering the blood circulation, it will cause inflammation and hardening of the blood vessels. In addition, many toxic substances may inhale with PM2.5, such as heavy metals or polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. In addition to guarding against outdoor pollution, indoor air pollution should not be neglected, especially polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons produced by frying and frying, which are often a source of indoor air pollution. Long-term exposure is more likely than outdoor air pollution. Induced disease.

Under the environment of poor air quality, how should we resist air pollution and prevent lung diseases?
Does the portable air purifier work?
Portable air purifiers have been popular in recent years, but many experts believe that portable air purifiers have limited effectiveness. In fact, it is useful to use the air purifier in a confined space. First, the external pollutants are blocked, and then the indoor air is filtered to achieve the purification effect.
If the portable air purifier is used outdoors, once the filter is too small, it will not be able to clean up in the face of continuous oncoming pollution. Secondly, it will be easily disturbed by airflow, and the purified air will be blown away and worn. The position is mostly at the neck and there is a distance from the nose and mouth, so the inhaled air is not necessarily clean air.

Many doctors also have reservations about portable air purifiers. He pointed out that portable air purifiers have too little ventilation and too low filtration capacity. Unless they are worn in front of the nose, they may be a little help. The mask comes practical.
How to prevent the confined space inside the car?
Driving for a long time or traffic jams often makes people feel drowsy, and even feel chest tightness, headache, and uncomfortable breathing. It may be caused by air pollution inside the car. The leather dyes, plastic adhesives, or chemicals used for cleaning in the vehicle will continue to volatilize in the air. Some people like to put blankets and fluffy dolls in the car, which are easy to adhere to dust mites and dust, while the fragrance is It may release toxic substances such as formaldehyde. Many people think that the inside of the car is a confined space, which will block the air pollution inside the car. The air inside the car should be better than the car. In fact, it depends on the situation. Sometimes car air conditioners introduce air outside the car and circulate inside the car. If the air outside the car is poor, the car is clogged, or the car is in the tunnel, or the front car is a diesel truck with a large exhaust volume, it may cause air pollution inside the car. more serious.

Under normal circumstances, it is recommended to close the window when driving, and you can add a car air purifier, which is somewhat helpful. If you need to drive for a long time, when the air quality outside the car is good, you can open the window to help the air circulation. In addition, not smoking in the car (even if the window is opened), avoiding the use of chemical lotion, reducing the decoration, keeping it clean, and opening the window to open the air before getting on the car, will help improve the air quality inside the car. In addition, he also shared that he actually wears a mask when driving, which is the most cost-effective way to prevent air pollution.

Any filter air purification device should always change the filter. Instead of spending extra money on the purchase of air purifiers for vehicles, it is also necessary to change the filter screen regularly to drive the air conditioning filter for six months to one year or 5000-10000 km. In addition, before the flameout, the air is blown for 5-10 minutes and then turned off, which can help the evaporator of the air conditioner to dry, avoid the mildew of the evaporator and reduce the pollution of mold spores in the car.

When moving the suction device, still use this car air purifier?

When moving the suction device, still use this car air purifier?

It is said that air quality determines the quality of life, but it has always been less concerned. The home is using an air purifier, the car has not been installed, the subconscious has an idea: Is that necessary?

It was not until I took the Olans car air purifier to get started testing that I really understood that it was necessary.

There is no air in the emperor here. The most important thing about car air purifiers is to pay attention to these points:
Perfect match with the interior
Effectively purify the air inside the car
Remind you not to smoke in the car (there are related tests below)
It seems to be the first car air purifier I reported, and I went straight to the topic.
Getting started and installing
There aren’t many things in a simple package: a small black air purifier, a cup-shaped battery (for cup holder mounting), and a car power cord.

Get the hand, 0.5 kg weight and delicate skin-like touch will instantly improve the sensitivity. The air outlet is located on the long side of the fuselage, so the machine can be used vertically or flat, but it should not be placed sideways. The interactive interface uses a refreshing LED screen, and in the car, you only see bright white numbers without seeing the background. Since the air purifier does not need many operations, the body has only a simple silver touch button, which can be switched to switch different air volumes.

Allan offers two ways to supply energy, one is to plug in the car power supply for driving (and can also charge the battery). The second is a cup-shaped battery so that you can get off the car and connect it, then set the time switch in the app to ensure that the air has been purified before getting on the bus. In addition to timing, Olans also supports Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to remotely switch clean, switch air volume, and read air quality index in real-time. If you want to make the most use of this car air purifier, you can – pre-purify with the battery before getting on the car; after the car is connected to the power supply and the battery, while charging and purifying.

After the power is connected, a blue breathing light will be lit around the upper cover of the Oakland. Of course, this is the best air quality, and the red and yellow lights are poorly matched and good. Since the fuselage is mostly black, it is more visually coordinated with the black interior. Alans put a cup-shaped battery on the bottom and put it on the cupholder. It is very stable and visually uncompromising.

Purification effect

(Official nominal efficiency and specifications)
General environmental testing – exhaust gas purification in the car. After getting on the bus, the car air purifier was started in the state where the air conditioner and the window were closed. The pollution value suddenly reached more than 100. The fan immediately accelerated, and the air that smelled the air outlet was close to the fresh air. The reading on the LED display dropped very quickly, and in just 5 minutes, it dropped to 5. This time is very satisfying, just to clean the air in a few minutes of the hot car, this process you can monitor the air quality inside the car through the mobile app.

Every time the hot car is at the same time, the air quality is improved to a healthy and comfortable state, and the daily cleaning effect is satisfactory.
However, this is only for ordinary people. For the smokers, is this Olans enough? Please see the violent test below:
Extreme environmental testing – no ventilation and smoke purification. As with the above test, keeping the windows and air conditioners off, I ordered a cigarette in the car. Just spit out a cigarette, the sensitive Alans responded instantly: I saw the LED screen air quality reading for one-second burst, jumping from 20 to >999, while the breathing light turned red and the fan speed reached the highest. Waiting for Alans to finish the work. In the case of a closed window, the readings in the car can be seen in real-time. In a few minutes, the reading drops quickly:

The biggest feeling is that a few cigarettes have caused pollution to burst for 13 minutes!
At 4:13, the smoke smell on the car has become noticeably faded, the fan speed has slowed down significantly, and the breathing light has turned yellow. After 10 minutes, the breathing light gradually turns blue. From the app, the air quality enters. “Excellent” area. After 15 minutes, the air index in the car was purified to 12.

The pollution of the air against the window is really amazing. This test gave me a more intuitive understanding of the impact of smoking. When I saw the reading, I felt that I didn’t want it.
Some people may say that I drive in the window, the wind blows away the smoke, and the pollution should not be big? In this regard, let the measured data speak:
I carried out a smoking test with the window open while the vehicle was moving. The air quality fluctuated between 300 during the burning process, indicating that the pollution caused by smoking in the window is still not small. Spit the last cigarette and close the window. After 5 minutes, Olaland purifies the air to a level of 80.
It turns out that smoking without pollution is just a kind of self-consolation. Because there are various pollutions such as exhaust gas outside the window of the car, the air inside the car will be affected after opening the window. On the other hand, if the fog is encountered, the effect of opening the window is more counterproductive. Therefore, if you want a healthy car air, it is best not to smoke in the car. Some friends can’t help it, it is necessary to go to an Olans.

Good and bad
Benefits: good appearance, easy installation, and use, good purification effect, timed purification function
The downside: take up the cigarette lighter interface, you have to buy a second or a third cigarette lighter to solve
Evaluation: worth buying (for reasons see at the beginning)

Air purifiers do not need to be opened frequently? Are you using these misunderstandings?

Air purifiers do not need to be opened frequently? Are you using these misunderstandings?

According to the data, the number of air purifiers in China has reached more than 30 million, and more and more families choose to use air purifiers.

However, as a “small fresh meat” in the large family of household appliances, many consumers have insufficient understanding of air purifiers, and there are still some misunderstandings in the daily use process.

Is it possible to open a purifier when someone asks the air to be heavily polluted? When will the filter be replaced? Is there a requirement for the position of the purifier? ……

Xiaobian summed up some common misunderstandings for everyone, to avoid these misunderstandings, in order to make the air purifier play the most effective effect~

1
When the air quality is poor, just open it?

Many small partners believe that the air purifier can be used for an hour or two in the foggy days and when the pollution is serious.

In fact, not only PM2.5 is pollution, in many cases, indoor air formaldehyde, bacterial viruses, pollen, dust, odor, chemical gases, etc. will have an impact on the human body!

Especially in the hot weather in summer, the temperature continues to rise, and the amount of formaldehyde released indoors is 20%-30% higher than usual.

Phil Bode air purifier, four-layer filter, layering more than 200 kinds of indoor air pollution, and effectively filtering out harmful pollution!

Therefore, the household air purifier should not be an occasional electric appliance that is turned on for an hour or two. The use of the Phil Bode air purifier for a long time can keep the indoor air clean!

2
Should the air purifier be placed against the wall?

After many consumers buy an air purifier, they are naturally placed against the wall.

But in fact, in order to achieve the desired purification effect of indoor air, it is best to place it in the center of the house or about 30cm away from walls, furniture, curtains, etc.

If the object is too close, the airflow of the air purifier will be blocked, the purification range will be small, and the overall purification effect will be poor.

3
Filters do not need to be cleaned and replaced regularly?

Many people in the process of using air purifiers often ignore the life cycle of the air purifier filter and use a cleaning.

The filter has a certain degree of saturation. During the operation of the air purifier, the purification function will gradually decrease as the adsorbate increases.

If the filter is not replaced for a long time, it will easily cause the filter to accumulate too much dust, which will cause the dust to be released into the air again, resulting in secondary pollution.

The Fairfield Air Purifier has a filter replacement reminder function. In general, the filter replacement period is 6-12 months.

4
No smell in the room means clean air?

After the new decoration, there will be a heavy smell in the room. Many people will choose an air purifier to purify the air after the interior decoration. As the indoor odor disappears, it is considered that the indoor air is up to standard and the air purifier is shackled.

It is not known that the indoor air standard is a comprehensive measure of the content of inhalable particulate matter, harmful gases, odors, and bacterial viruses. It is very one-sided and unreasonable to judge the air quality by odor alone.

If you don’t smell it, the hidden gas in the room will cause great harm to the body.

5
One is enough?

One parameter of the purifier is called: applicable area

An air purifier has a limited area for purification, and it is difficult to guarantee the air quality of the entire space.

For better purification, it is recommended that large-sized homes or indoor spaces (such as offices, hospitals, etc.) be equipped with multiple air purifiers at the same time.

For small rooms (such as study rooms, baby rooms), a Phil Bode purifier is enough.

Air purifiers have become a necessary measure to effectively protect the health and well-being of the family, so it is necessary to avoid casual use. After all, health is the top priority!

Air quality determines the quality of life, the car air purifier should be selected?

Air quality determines the quality of life, the car air purifier should be selected?

According to the latest yellow warning issued by the Central Meteorological Observatory, since mid-Shenzhen, there have been moderate sputum in central and southern Beijing, western Tianjin, central and southern Hebei, most of Henan, north of Shandong, and central and southern Jiangsu. Among them, southern Beijing and Hebei There is severe sputum in the central and northern parts of Henan. From the 10th, the weather in the above areas will gradually weaken or dissipate from north to south.

The haze is annoying and frightening. After all, the fog seems to be mild, but in fact, it contains more than 20 kinds of fine particles and toxic substances harmful to the human body.

For a friend who hates smog, it is safer to wear such a child.

In order to prevent smog from being invaded, citizens often choose to stay indoors, and some people may stay in the car. Then, how to prevent being attacked by harmful gases when exercising in the car?

People often say that air quality determines the quality of life, but everyone has been not too concerned about it. In the face of today’s harsh haze, more and more people are choosing this artifact – the air purifier.

However, in the face of many car air purifier brands on the market, how to choose is also plagued by many riders, the following masters will give you some advice.

1
It is necessary to consider whether it is convenient and safe to place in the car.

Convenience and safety are the primary considerations. If it is not convenient to place it in the car or there is a safety hazard after placement, no matter how good the air purifier can be selected. This requires attention to the following aspects:
1
Appearance volume. When purchasing, it is important to choose a machine that can be placed in the car and not easily moved by car.
2
Manufacturing materials. In general, wear-resistant and high-temperature resistant materials are better than fragile materials.

2
Consider whether the air purification in the car is comprehensive and efficient.

Convenience and safety are the most basic considerations, and purification is a key determinant. This requires attention to the following aspects:
1
Purification method. Air purifiers are generally classified into “filter” purification and “ion cluster” purification.
2
Wind tunnel design. Because there are many “barriers” in the car, if you want to thoroughly purify the air in every part of the car, you need a scientific air duct design.

3
It is important to note that the choice of appearance should be coordinated with interior decoration and design.

In addition, if the shape of the car air purifier is more artistic, you will also have a good mood all the way to drive, and friends and relatives who see the same air purifier can still be forced to install.

4
Care should be taken: the car air purifier is relatively simple, and the filter or ion generator can be replaced on time according to the product manual.

How do the big ones are DIY air purifiers?

How do the big ones are DIY air purifiers?

The haze is coming again, closing the doors and windows, pretending that the thick smog can’t come in (be strange), as well as the harmful pollution released by interior decoration materials, artificial panels, composite furniture, and the second-hand smoke that floats… These are the pains that can breathe!

“Save the Breath” is a matter of people’s livelihood. Not long ago, Blueair and the Nutshell Network held a DIY Air Purifier Competition. The vast shells were also open-minded and submitted a variety of “empty net solutions”. Let’s take a look at their concept sketches~

[Secondary soul painting] by the stinky gardener

The mobile purifier, based on Hayao Miyazaki’s “Hal’s Moving Castle”, can also fly.
Metal detector, 24K infrared laser eye, largemouth strong inhalation, top pipe output, let the bacteria all dogs.

Stepping on a spinning bike provides a source of power for the machine, both fitness and environmentally friendly.
According to the principle of the electrostatic copier, the smog particles are mixed into the ink, and the input text can be printed.

However, only “Alans” successfully entered the three yuan

Acrylic shell + HEPA filter + activated carbon net + fan + power module, from prototype design to DIY production, netizen “-Biu took a big-” took 3 days. She gave this boxy machine a lovely name: Alans.
Dubai VS Olansi

So, what is the strength of the new DIY air purifier “Olans”? The shell net came in. Blueair’s most representative Pro L air purifier, in an enclosed glass room with a site of about 15 square meters, held an informal friendly match between the two sides.

Task 1
Spread the board with formaldehyde and then minimize the concentration of formaldehyde in the air within 30 minutes.

Task 2
Simulate the normal indoor environment and then minimize the PM2.5 concentration in the air as much as possible within 30 minutes.

It can be seen from the results of the competition that “Auslanes” has been listed by professional player Blueair “Dubai” in both the formaldehyde project and the PM2.5 project.

Where is the DIY air purifier lost? Is there a problem with the production materials? Or is there a design omission? With these questions, we conducted a comprehensive analysis.

Material selection and process: the foundation laid from the body

▲Production of the acrylic sheet used by Allan

The outer shell of the Australian is acrylic, it has good transparency and plasticity, and most importantly it is cheap. First, cut with a laser, then use a glue gun to bond and seal, the final physical shape looks quite similar…

However, it is just like a model. Industrial grade air purifiers have many features in the selection of materials, processes and product design. Blueair uses solid alloy steel that does not produce harmful substances or cracks like industrial plastics but also has sound and noise resistance.

Blueair’s chief designer, Mr. Magnus, shared his design philosophy: “For Blueair, quality is as important as beauty. Every part is carefully selected and durable. We chose not to use plastic. Rugged galvanized steel, and it doesn’t contain a lot of harmful substances like plastic, you only need to replace the filter to ensure that the product has been used for many years.”

Wind tunnel design: open up the lung capacity, and “do not fight”

▲The fan used in making Alans

The right and top of the Olans enclosure are air inlets and outlets, but after confirmation by Blueair engineers, the air ducts were designed to be oversized and violated safety regulations. The sound control of Olans is also not good. The average noise of 1 minute is 58 decibels, which is close to the loud talk.

The Blueair Pro L uses a right-in and left-out air duct design. In order to expand the contact area with the air, the internal filter screen is also designed as a V-shaped, two filters can be placed at the same time, and there are two correspondingly. The ultra-quiet fans run synchronously and the low-speed running noise is only 29 decibels. A reasonable air duct design not only helps to capture more dirty air but also sends out more clean air, which also helps to reduce “wind noise”.

Filtering: Don’t let the “filter” fight alone

▲Production of the universal filter used by Alans

Olansi uses the common activated carbon particle filter and HEPA filter on the market, but we can clearly see in the PM2.5 test: when the particle content drops to about 60, no matter how many cycles of filtration, the value Can not fall down; and formaldehyde, only purified about 27%.

So is it better to change the denser filter? If the filter is made thick and dense, although the capture rate can be increased, the wind resistance is also increased, eventually, the air volume is insufficient, and the energy consumption and noise are also increased.

How is Blueair solved? Blueair uses an ultra-quiet patented technology, HEPASilent®, which combines electrostatic and mechanical filtration to deliver more clean air with minimal energy consumption and noise. All products are certified to “zero ozone” by ARB testing. Without any harmful emissions.

For gaseous pollutants such as formaldehyde, Blueair has developed a new activated carbon filter: the honeycomb structure is removed, the wind resistance is smaller, and the contact surface is more sufficient; the alumina carrier with better activity is used, the microporous structure is more developed; the cold catalyst content is increased by 3 times. Capturing formaldehyde is more powerful. After a new upgrade, the Blueair filter has reached the highest national CCM level and can capture more air pollutants at the same time.

CADR: Race against time

An important indicator for choosing an air purifier is CADR, which is simply the volume of air purified per unit of time. Indoor air is flowing dynamically. Ingress, cleaning, ventilation, and walking will increase the number of impurities in the air. If the CADR is not high enough, the purification speed will not keep up with the continuous generation of pollution.

In fact, through the test results, we can see that the CADR of Aol’s is much lower than that of Blueair, but how strong is the CDAR value of the Blueair Pro L up to 700m3/h?

In a 45-square-meter meeting room, the shell network tested the performance of the Blueair Pro L: after 90 minutes, the concentration of PM2.5 in this room dropped from 128μg/m3 to below 5.84μg/m3… And this is not the limit, the Blueair Pro L can be used for up to 84 square meters of space.

Detection: not let go of every corner

The actual use of the air purifier is very important. We open the air purifier every day. Is the indoor air really getting better?

In order to detect the actual effect of the air purifier, it is not enough to measure the data of the tuyere. The air purifier will first purify the nearby air, but the indoor air is always flowing, and people will walk around every corner of the room, so the correct method should be to measure every corner of the room. When the entire room was cleaned, the air purifier really worked.

Professional instruments are also indispensable during the testing process. In order to solve the problem of expensive instruments, Blueair provides users with free on-site air detection services. Experienced inspectors will never let go of any corners. Finally, detailed inspection reports will be issued, and the actual use of the products will be clear at a glance.

Technology: Serving a better life

The technology stems from a curiosity about the unknown, and the exploration of the limits, Blueair engineers prefer to use technology to make life better. By comparing with the DIY air purifier, we found that in order to truly master the technology and produce excellent products, professional knowledge and dedication are indispensable.

The Smart Age has been launched, and Blueair has also launched the smart app Blueair Friend and the smart detection product Blueair Aware and recently launched the live view Air View by Blueair. Air View, like Google Earth, contains 360° real-life photos of major cities around the world. The data is updated daily in real-time, and China is also planning to include it in the future.

air purifier? Don’t buy it for indiscriminately!

air purifier? Don’t buy it for indiscriminately!

A lot of things can be judged by logic, including buying an air purifier and hearing the details. (But I can’t talk about logic in anything. I have been telling the logic to be killed by my wife several times because of all the troubles.)

My first air purifier was bought in 2004. Of course, it must be a Panasonic. What do I mean by that? ——Air purifier is not a smog derivative, not a PM2.5 filter. In 2004, the Chinese did not know what PM2.5 was;
Air purifiers, as the name implies, are machines that purify indoor air, and indoor air pollution sources are far more than PM2.5.
Japan’s PM2.5 has an average annual value of 10, but we are familiar with Panasonic, Daikin, Toshiba, Mitsubishi, and Hitachi to produce air purifiers. One of the standards in Japanese hotels is the air purifier.
So, first of all, we should have a correct understanding of the air purifier.

However, after all, it is China, and China is a smashing China. The harm of PM2.5 does exist in the field. Therefore, there is nothing wrong with the purchase of air purifiers. Focus on PM2.5 only, because even in Beijing, the annual average PM2.5 concentration is around 80, and the air quality is up to 190 days. We can also play the role of air purifier in the absence of smog. The value of this money is spent!

So, how can we buy a cost-effective air purifier?

1, in the choice of brand, try to choose those familiar brands.
There is nothing special about the basic functions of air purifiers, so don’t trust the so-called “professional” brands that don’t know which country to pop up. What is a professional? At best, it’s a special one. It was Matsushita. Matsushita began producing air purifiers in 1962; at that time, the CEO doors of these “professional” brands were not yet born!

Air purifier conscience guide, so buy, no longer have to worry about being pitted

Air purifier conscience guide, so buy, no longer have to worry about being pitted

Under the smog, life is important. The smog of earning money, the smog of the official, the ordinary people, know the smog, anti-smog.

Americans love to sterilize, Japanese people are afraid of pollen, and Chinese hate PM2.5. In the special industry of air purification, we are the only country in the world that is seriously polluted by smog and has the strength and willingness to purchase air purifiers. Hey, so, in the face of thousands of air purifiers on the market, from hundreds of oceans to tens of thousands of oceans, how can you choose not to be deceived?

Then, before entering the topic, the sheep and the old wet first knock on the blackboard, you must know the following points –

We purchase air purifiers, mainly for indoor pollutants. Simply put, indoor air pollutants fall into three categories:
1 Particulate matter | such as inhalable particulate matter (PM10), smaller particles can inhale PM2.5 in the lungs, pollen, pets or body exfoliation;
2 Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) | including various odors, formaldehyde or toluene pollution caused by decoration;
3 Microorganisms | Mainly viruses and bacteria.

The principle of removing indoor air pollutants
Mechanical + electrostatic + water filter

Mechanical type, that is, “filtration”, high air volume fan + filter screen, can intercept some particles and microorganisms, large particles “adsorbed on the filter screen” and adsorbed, small particles are absorbed by the electrostatic force of gravity of the filter fiber, Therefore, the filter screen is often a layered structure, and one layer cannot be blocked.

The most popular air purifiers on the market, with the most mature technologies and products, are mechanical filter purifiers. Electrostatic and water filtration purifiers, although there is no need to replace the filter, the filtration efficiency is very general, it will bring secondary pollution such as ozone and chlorine, and the problem of microbial growth, so it will not be described.

HEPA high-efficiency filter
(High-Efficiency Particulate Air Filter)
Referred to as HEPA

Various countries have different standards for high-efficiency filters, and European HEPA grades (EN 1822) are often mentioned. In the latest EN 1822:2009 standard, H13 grades or higher can be called HEPA (so strictly used) The H10-H12 purifier can no longer be called HEPA).

From H11 (filtration efficiency >98%) to H13 (filtration efficiency >99.97%), with the same CADR value (described below for CADR), the purifier can be faster with the purifier of the H13 filter. Lower, while the H11 filter takes longer. The higher the level of HEPA, the better. Of course, the higher the level, the more expensive the price.

Some air purifiers add a lower filter front filter to the HEPA to filter out larger particles such as hair, which improves HEPA efficiency and longevity, as well as cost control.

HEPA is the core component of the purifier and needs to be replaced at regular intervals.

Activated carbon or zeolite

Both HEPA and pre-filters filter particulate matter and some microbes, and other important indoor air pollutant, volatile organic compounds (VOCs) such as formaldehyde. Toluene requires an additional filter to remove. The most widely used is the activated carbon filter. Activated carbon absorbs VOC through its huge surface area, removing formaldehyde and various odors. The same is true of the basic principle of zeolites.

About air purifier
The most important CADR and CCM

1 CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate), the clean air output ratio
CADR is the ratio of the air purifier output clean air obtained by the American Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM) according to strict test standards. It is generally expressed by the area ratio time (domestic use m3/h), that is, each How many volumes of air are purified in an hour. The higher the CADR value, the higher the purification efficiency.

Simply put, CADR/10 (poor air quality can be increased to 15) can be used as a reference for purifying the area. For example, the nominal CADR value is 750m3/h purifier, the applicable purification area is about 750/10=75m2, if the purification requirement is higher, it is 750/15=50m2.

International standards require that the purifier must change the air of the area to be used more than 5 times per hour, so each purifier will mark its applicable area, such as 20m2, the height of the floor is 3m, which is 60m3, which requires the purifier. The air volume needs to be above 300m3/h.

2 CCM (Cumulate Clean Mass), cumulative purification
As the name implies, CCM stands for the endurance of the purifier. The new national standard divides the CCM value into 1~4 grades (the higher the number is, the higher the level), corresponding to different pollutants, the particulate matter uses the P1~P4 standard, and the formaldehyde uses the F1~F4 standard.

The CCM value determines that the number of days the screen can be used can be determined under conditions where the purifier, room area, and contaminant concentration are known. However, because the national standard threshold is low, some better purifiers will be marked as “Super P4/F4” or “Several times P4/F4”.

Air purification process

The indoor environment in which we live is always in gas exchange with the outside world. Indoor pollutants, such as formaldehyde that has just been renovated, particulate matter produced by smoking, and odors of other objects, overall, indoor particulate matter or pollutants, have been in a state of dynamic balance.

The function of the air purifier is to control the particulate matter or pollutants in the dynamic equilibrium state to a lower concentration range through the combination of “high air volume + high filtration efficiency”. In order to achieve a better purification effect, it is necessary to check the air leakage in the room. If the air leakage is very serious, even the best purifier, the high CADR, and CCM are also white.
The only solution is the fresh air system. By continuously changing the indoor and outdoor air, the fresh air system always maintains the indoor air pressure higher than the outdoor, thus preventing the outdoor air from directly entering the room. The Yang Lao Wet House installed a fresh air system before the renovation, and it has its own PM2.5 filter core. On the basis of the ordinary fresh air pumping air, the purified air is sent into the room.

From this point of view, the air purifier can only temporarily purify the indoor air, does not have the ventilation function, and the purification area is limited, and most fresh air systems must be installed before the house is renovated, so the air purifier can be said to be unmounted. A compromise between the family of the fresh air system.

Air purifier noise

Noise is an inevitable problem for all filter purifiers. The greater the air volume, the greater the noise. Even if manufacturers use a variety of sound-absorbing or sound-proof methods, once the air purifier is turned on, including the fresh air system, it will still add a sinuous background sound to the home.

The noise of the purifier for a long time to work stably, as well as the serious pollution of the air. The noise during maximum power operation is a factor to be considered when purchasing. Different types of purifier manufacturers will basically indicate the decibel number (dB) during operation. Reference.

Additional features / smart services

In today’s smart age, many home appliances add one or more additional features to the product, such as APP control, smart detection, mute or sleep mode, etc., such as smart detection, you should pay attention to the real-time monitoring of the air quality near the machine. , or the entire room, and whether the air purification effect in silent or sleep mode is guaranteed.

Sheep and old wet to say separately is after-sales, this is a problem to buy any home appliances, of course, it is still related to the manufacturer, it is recommended to choose the mainstream model of the mainstream brand as much as possible, saving the factory because of the niche and abandoned it into three.

Of course, the air inlet and outlet of the purifier, the placement and land occupation, the ease of movement, and the level of the color are all important factors that influence your final decision.

You may never have thought of this toxic substance in an air purifier.

You may never have thought of this toxic substance in an air purifier.

Under the smog, many families have purchased air purifiers, hoping to bring a small environment for families, especially the elderly and children, to breathe safely.

As the PM index on the air purifier continues to drop, you will feel a little comfort in your heart. Many people regard the air purifier as their last respiratory guardian.

But the following news may cause you to have doubts about the air purifier in your home.

Metal texture dividing line

On July 20 this year, the Ministry of the Environment of the Republic of Korea broke out that OIT (octylisothiazolinone), which is harmful to the human body, was detected in the air purifiers and air-conditioning filters on the Korean market. OIT-containing products cover most of the brands on the market, with up to 84 models.

What is OIT? OIT is an antibacterial, mildew-resistant, oil-soluble chemical. On some filter screens marked with “sterilization” type purifiers, manufacturers use OIT, an anti-fungal agent to sterilize and prevent the strainer from becoming moldy. However, this chemical is harmful to the human body, it is highly toxic to aquatic organisms, and causes an allergic reaction in the human body in direct contact or through the air. The anti-mold agent component enters the human body together with the exhaust of the purifier and the air conditioner.

The Korean Ministry of the Environment has conducted a risk assessment and believes that OIT, an antimicrobial ingredient, poses a potential risk to human health. For public health reasons, the Korean Ministry of the Environment has asked major manufacturers to recall all air purifier filters containing OIT components.

According to a report by South Korea’s International Broadcasting Station (KBS) on July 22, the list of 84 air purifiers and air conditioners containing the toxic substance OIT announced by the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea, some of Samsung Electronics, LG Electronics, Cuckoo, and other companies. The product is impressively listed.

The filters of these companies are produced by two international brands.

Subsequently, 3M apologized for the detection of toxic substances in the air purifier filter and immediately began recalling the product.

Metal texture dividing line

So, is the current domestic purifier brand concerned about OIT?

Taking science home to investigate the current air purifier products in China, we found that with the exception of a few products, most brands did not explicitly indicate that they did not contain OIT ingredients in the product description.
